Longitudinal flow in superhydrophobic channels with partially invaded grooves

Abstract Analytical expressions are derived for the longitudinal flow in a superhydrophobic microchannel where flat menisci Cassie state have partially invaded grooves between no-slip blades. Using these solutions, effective slip lengths computed and compared with recent analytical results unbounded shear over same class of surfaces. Expressions first-order corrections to when weakly curved also derived. A mathematical connection channel flows still pinned tops pillars is made, resulting novel those solutions too.
